Tephrocactus geometricus is a Southern American species of desert cactus that grows 2000-3000m above sea level. It grows in full sun in an arid environment in sandy substrates. It needs to be kept dry outside growing season, and should be planted in a bit deeper container because they have a longer taproot. They are hardy down to about -5C.
