An epiphytic species from Central America that grows within the range from Southern Florida to Columbia.
Its former name was 'Encyclia cochleata'.
Needs bright light, but not direct afternoon sun. Should be watered regularly during the growing season, but let dry out lightly between waterings. Potting mix should be coarse and airy.
Plant for sale is currently finishing blooming, but it might get a new flower spike soon. This species flowers easily and for a long time.
